Privacy policy

Ghostrak records video of people training, and most of them are children. This page says plainly what is recorded, who can see it, how long it is kept and how to have it removed. It is written to be read by a parent, not by a lawyer.

Who is responsible for your data

Ghostrak is used by training facilities. Each facility runs its own separate installation — its own accounts, its own roster and its own video storage — and the facility decides who trains there, who coaches, and what gets filmed.

Prime Baseball Training and Athletic Development, LLC (“Prime Baseball”) is responsible for the data described below. SGC operates the Ghostrak systems — the app, the video storage and the sign-in service — on the facility’s behalf and under its instructions. SGC does not use the data for any purpose of its own.

Your facility's own data is never mixed with another facility's. There is no shared pool of players, clips or accounts across facilities.

What is collected

WhatWhere it comes fromWhy
Your name and email address The account your facility created for you To sign you in and show who filmed or reviewed a rep
A username / account identifier Your facility's sign-in system To connect your account to your clips and roster
Video and audio of training reps Filmed in the app, or captured by equipment in the cage The purpose of the product — reviewing and comparing reps
Performance measurements
e.g. exit velocity, pitch speed
Entered by a coach, or read from facility equipment To track progress and show facility leaderboards
Roster relationships
which player, which coach, which facility
Set by facility staff So a coach sees only the players they work with
Which facility you chose Stored on your device only So the app opens to the right place next time

What is not collected

Who can see the video

Clips are unlisted: they are not public, not searchable, not recommended to anyone, and not visible to other facilities. There is no public feed, no profile page and no way to browse to a child's video from outside.

Within your facility, a clip can be seen by:

Facility staff also receive an internal notice, in the facility’s own staff chat, when a player is hitting in a cage — the player’s name and the cage number, so the coach on duty knows whose reps are being recorded. That chat is private to the facility’s staff.

A clip leaves that circle only if someone at the facility deliberately exports or shares it — for example, sending a recruiting reel. That is a human decision made at the facility, not something the app does on its own.

Children

Ghostrak is a tool for coaches, not an app children sign up for. Accounts are created by the facility as part of enrolling in training, and the relationship with the parent or guardian — including consent to be filmed — is the facility's, made when the athlete joins.

Filming is disclosed in the facility’s own privacy notice at primebaseball.pro/privacy, which also tells a parent or guardian how to ask that a player’s video not be shown and how to have it removed. A separate written consent to be filmed is not part of the facility’s enrolment paperwork today.

A parent or guardian can ask at any time to see what is held about their child, to have a specific clip deleted, or to have everything removed. See Your choices below. No request of that kind is refused on the grounds that the child is still training there.

How long it is kept

Clips, measurements and accounts are kept until the facility, the player, or a parent or guardian asks for them to be deleted. There is no automatic expiry: a clip filmed this season is still there next season so a coach can compare the two, and it stays there until someone asks for it to go.

Deleting a clip removes it from the facility's video storage. Deleting an account removes the sign-in and the roster links; clips already deleted do not come back.

Your choices

To ask for a copy of what is held, a correction, or a deletion:

You do not need an account to make a request. A parent or guardian can make one on behalf of their child.

Security

Permissions the app asks for

Nothing is recorded in the background. The app records when someone presses record.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects what is recorded or who can see it, the date at the top changes and facilities are told, so they can tell the families they work with.
